Professional Background
Clinical Experience and Education
Gabriel Obu, PMHNP-BC, earned his foundational diploma in
Nursing Science from the University of Nigeria Teaching
Hospital, Enugu.
Following several years of clinical practice across hospital
systems in Enugu and Bayelsa States, he relocated to the
United States to advance his education and professional scope.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University
of Texas at Arlington and subsequently completed a Master of
Science in Nursing at Walden University.
He later became certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse
Practitioner.
Healthcare Leadership
Professional Practice
Throughout his career as a Registered Nurse and Board-Certified
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Gabriel has
provided comprehensive mental health care in collaboration
with healthcare organizations across multiple states.
Building on this clinical experience, he founded
Holistic Healing Psychiatry, an outpatient
practice that provides accessible mental health care across
five U.S. states.
His professional background, clinical expertise, and experience
coordinating patient care make him well suited to support the
planning and execution of the EnuguUSA Medical Mission.
Role and Responsibility
Coordinating the Medical Mission
In this role, Gabriel Obu will work collaboratively with the
Medical Mission leadership and other stakeholders to help
coordinate activities and advance the mission's objectives.
His responsibilities will support the planning, organization,
coordination, and execution of Medical Mission activities.
The Office of the President looks forward to working with
Gabriel Obu as EnuguUSA continues to strengthen the Medical
Mission and serve communities effectively.
